Cambridge Web Projects evolved from a project inside a direct sales company using catalogues and mail who, by 1995,
had started to see the potential of the web.
As pioneers it was necessary to build many of the components needed from scratch and it soon became clear that there was
a potential to offer this library of work to other organisations who were also building web e-commerce sites and so the web
projects operation became a separate entity.
Early projects were built around the tools of the time but with the arrival of Microsoft’s ASP.Net platform in late
2001 it became clear that web application programming was moving to a new level and we have worked with that technology ever since,
bringing the full power of Windows programming to the web.
